Library Mission Statement

 The mission of Hillcrest High Library is to provide patrons (students and staff) with the skills to seek credible information and knowledge through available media, promote a continued love for reading, and provide an extended classroom environment where students can create, imagine, and explore. Hillcrest High Library supports the Hillcrest High School mission statement of becoming leaders, positively impacting our local and global community, and "achieving excellence together" by: 

• Collaborating with teachers and administrators to create lessons, discuss learning strategies, and co-teach to ensure student success 
• Providing intellectual and physical access to all available media and the skills needed to search for relevant information 
• Providing lessons that foster the love of reading and continued love of reading through adulthood 
• Providing an environment that fosters creativity, exploration, and imagination

Library Vision Statement

The Hillcrest High Library envisons: 

• Collaborative lessons with teachers that enhance learning

• Makerspace stations for students to tinker, build, and create 

• An envrionment of self learners who can seek credible knowledge 

• Empowered readers who read what they want to without censorship 

• Community involvment and events to build relationships
