Overview
Hillcrest High School uses Project Lead the Way's engineering curriculum which provides an extraordinary amount of hands-on projects and activities for students to explore multiple engineering fields.
Our engineering courses provide hands-on experiences with state-of-the art equipment, and field trips, and internships to enhance student’s learning. This challenging curriculum is facilitated by PLTW certified teachers specifically trained for these courses. Hillcrest Engineering Program offers a four-year engineering curriculum program that encompasses two foundational engineering courses and a choice of four specialization courses. Hillcrest offers Intro to Engineering Design, Principles of Engineering (Engineering Science), Civil Engineering and Architecture, Computer Integrated Manufacturing, Digital Electronics, and a capstone course of Engineering Design and Development. Each of the engineering courses are weighted as AP or Honors courses in a student’s GPA.
